The Trat Province is one of the 77 "changwat," or provinces, of Thailand. East of the nation is where it is situated. (Counterclockwise from the west) Chanthaburi, Chonburi, Rayong, Sa Kaeo, and Cambodia are the bordering provinces. To the south is the Thai Gulf.  

Popular tourist attraction Trat is well-known for its seafood, islands, and beaches. The province is also home to several industrial estates, notably the biggest industrial estate in Thailand, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate.
